I love a good jute rug. I have yet to find a jute rug that goes out of style. My suggestions: Get a large, inexpensive jute rug (this one is my favorite from Amazon) and top it off with smaller, fun, colorful rugs. This way you spend less money and have more options.

If a family loves the house, but can’t fit any of their furniture in the living room because the floor plan is bad, this might be a deal breaker.
