Innovating With Indoor Gardens – While growing organic herbs and vegetables in your home is a good idea, all those trays and overhead lights can take up a lot of space. That’s where OGarden comes in. The result of a successful Kickstarter campaign, it houses the plants in what is essentially a mini ferris wheel with a grow light in the middle.

Modernizing Laundry Room Designs – Greetings from midweek! I’ve been away from the blog for a few days, working on a few things behind the scenes. Just this morning, I had a meeting with my contact at the Committee on the Sheltered (COTS), a local nonprofit I work with every year (see all previous space conversions for COTS here ).

I learned that there are two other homes they use as transitional housing that need to be remodeled, and I will be working on them this fall. These houses excite me very much; There are two more kitchens to be renovated and at least two more bathrooms to be renovated. I’ll be sure to document space transformations here on the blog as I always do!
